Fatima Sala, a 3 year old girl, lives in a coastal barangay in Siocon, Zamboanga del Norte in the Philippines. She had been diagnosed with hydrocephalus, a disease she suffers as a result of TB-meningitis or tuberculosis of the brain. Fatima’s family did not have any money for treatment or medication for Fatima. Without treatment, Fatima’s prospects were grim.
On January 6, 2010, with financial assistance from the Maple Tree Foundation, Fatima was admitted and treated in the Zamboanga City Medical Center. Regular medical treatment with continuous medication is being supplied by MTF and will make sure of Fatima’s full recovery.
Parents of Fatima were very much thankful to the donor especially to the Maple tree foundation, for the financial assistance extended to their youngest daughter. |
